New ‘Reclaiming Schools’ booklet: read the evidence and the arguments for change

Several of the supporters of the Reclaiming Schools project have contributed short chapters to a booklet that makes the case for the Stand Up for Education manifesto. The booklet is called ‘Reclaiming Schools: the evidence and the arguments’.

The booklet has been printed by the NUT and you can download a copy here, or by clicking on the graphic of the booklet’s cover.

The chapters are intentionally short – but present powerful arguments in relation to all the key issues facing those interested in a more optimistic vision of education – the national curriculum and assessment, the role of inspection, the importance of democratic control and how to make teaching an attractive profession all feature.

We hope you find the booklet useful.  If you would like multiple copies of the print version for use at election hustings, Education Question Times or similar events please contact the NUT at manifesto@nut.org.uk.
